Welcome to the Side Hustle Experiment Blog. My name is John Muscarello and In November 2016, I started flipping furniture on local sites like OfferUp, Letgo, Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace (you can read the full story here)

Within a week I made $100 profit. It doesn’t sound like a lot, but it was a big deal for me. I was hooked and started looking for more items and places to buy cheap furniture.

By the end of 2017 I made $12,000 profit (this was after paying taxes) by selling used furniture locally. That was about an extra $1,000 a month on top of what I was making at my full-time job.

I now run a 6-figure ecommerce business selling items on Amazon and Ebay. I quit my job and went full time in 2019. I was even featured in an article on CNBC.

And the best part was I had no experience whatsoever buying or selling things online or even in sales. I was just a copywriter looking for a way out of my full-time job.

My goal is to show you how you can make extra money outside of your full-time job so you can live how you actually want to live. Whether it’s:

·      Paying off loans

·      Putting a down payment on a house

·      Going on a dream vacation

·      Or even leaving your full time job
